Rotary Drum Cooler for Calcined Coke, Semicoke, Needle Coke, Graphite anode materials, etc.
The Rotary drum cooler is invented by Chinese (created in China). SONGLING has a number of patented technologies in rotary drum cooler. SONGLING's rotary drum cooler has been applied in cooling of Calcined coke, Semicoke, Needle coke, Magnesium reduction, Steel slags, Manganese reduction, Graphite anode materials, etc.
Rotary drum cooler is a new type cooler used for cooling bulk materials. It consists of rotating drum, material inlet section, material outlet section, cooling water system, drive mechanism, etc. The drum consists of an outside cylinder with membrane pipes and an inside cylinder with tubes. There is designed with guide fins inside the drum for guiding the materials to cooler outlet and transfer the heat from the hot materials to cooling water. As hot materials enter the bottom of the drum through the inlet, ash starts to accumulate around the inlet till equilibrium is established between the material gravity and the resistance of the materials in the barrel. As the drum rotates, the material resistance is reduced inducing more bottom materials into the drum. The material flow is a linear function of the rotating speed. The faster the drum rotates, the higher the material flow is. In the process of material moving, heat exchange occurs between material and cooling water.
Excellent capacity control
Insensitive to material size and characteristics
Highly reliable and efficient cooling
Patented and reliable seal design
Patented roller support design
Patented water inlet station
Easy on-line check and maintenance
Very Low auxiliary power consumption
Solids enter the rotating barrel from one side and are cooled by spiral and longitudinal fins inside the barrel. The spiral fins lit and convey the solids continuously to the barrel exit. There is no mechanical pushing force on the solids and therefore there is little erosion on the fins and barrel. The solid flow increases with the barrel rotating speed and decreases to zero when the barrel stops rotating. Ash cooling capacity is automatically adjusted by barrel rotating speed. The barrel rotating speed is controlled by a variable frequency motor which is DCS-controlled depending on bed pressure.
